The WOD (Cross Training Class)will challenge even the most fit athletes, they are an hour in length and are usually broken down into a warm up period, a stretch, a fundamental movement section for correct form and then the WOD (Work Out of the Day). WODs vary from 8-45 mins depending on the day.  The beginner’s WOD is scaled to help new athletes become confident in correct form and familiar with the structure of a WOD in order to be successful at their fitness goals.
The Body Pump class is one hour in length and is just what its name suggest. Based on true military workouts, Body Pump will have you doing anything from pushups, burpees, flutter kicks to hand stand holds. This class is about building strength, muscle endurance, and for the busy mom or dad, a good release from the day to day grind.
The Cardio Kickboxing class is one hour in length also. The class is based on six fundamental punches and kicks. This class is never the same, always changing and evolving to perfect proper hand and feet work along with constant movement for the greatest physical benefit.
Don’t let that kind of language scare you, these workouts are scalable to anyone of any age and fitness level. The thing to remember about Cross Training and any exercise program is that work and work loads are different for each person. What is 100% work to one person may not be 100% to another, this is where coaching is important. This is where we will work with you to get the very most out of each and every workout at The Compound.
